Ziff-Davis sells ZD Education for $172 million

New York--Ziff-Davis has signed an agreement to sell its business-to-business information technology learning organization, ZD Education, to a company formed by U.S. Equity Partners, L.P., New York, for $172 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2000, and comes on the heels of Ziff-Davis' sale of its Market Intelligence Unit to Harte-Hanks, New York, for $106 million.
