Zite, Google introduce new apps for magazine reading

San Francisco—CNN's Zite, a personalized news app similar to Flipboard, has introduced an app for the iPhone. Zite's app was already compatible with the iPad. The new app allows users to create a magazine-like experience on the iPhone.

Similarly, Google introduced Google Currents, a magazine app for Android devices as well as the iPad and iPhone. Google Currents has launched with 150 publisher partners, a list that includes CNET, Fast Company and Forbes. The Currents app allows users to add RSS, video and photo feeds.
