Waltham, Mass.—Business information company ZoomInfo has launched a free information-swapping service, providing two months of access to its business-contacts database in exchange for users’ own business contact files.

Dubbed FreshContacts, the new service was characterized by ZoomInfo as helpful to job seekers researching potential employers. ZoomInfo called the swapping nature of the program “Jigsaw on steroids” as it mimics the data-sharing characteristics of social database site Jigsaw Inc.

The service uses a plugin to upload users’ Microsoft Outlook files to ZoomInfo. Users are then able to search ZoomInfo’s database of 45 million business contacts and download files one at a time at no cost for up to two months.
