By Published on .

Westlake Village, Calif.—Zumbox Inc., whose technology promises to deliver paperless mail to digital inboxes of every street address in the country, has raised $8 million in venture funding from a group of investors that includes former Walt Disney Co. CEO Michael Eisner and FreshDirect Chairman-CEO Rick Braddock.

Zumbox said it will launch the first stage of its national rollout in the fourth quarter, delivering digital versions of financial statements, bills, direct mail, catalogs, publications and personal correspondence to an initial selection of 1 million inboxes, which the company calls Zumboxes.
