GOP Launches 'Social Victory Center' on Facebook

Republicans Boost Digital Game for Election Cycle

By Published on .

The Republican National Committee has launched a social-media app on Facebook. It's called the Social Victory Center and, according to the Los Angeles Times, is the first of its kind in the political sector.

According to the RNC, the Social Victory Center will allow users to "find ways to volunteer in their local areas, make calls into battleground states, access exclusive news and multimedia from the RNC, find and create local political events, and engage with activists across the country."

Party Chairman Reince Priebus, in a video introduction to the app, said the GOP is "setting a new standard in online activism. ... With the SVC, you have the opportunity to customize your activist experience."
