'Gotta Catch 'Em All': Clinton Campaign Targets Pokémon Go PokéStop

'Battle Each Other While You Register Voters and Learn More About Sec. Hillary Clinton!!!'

"I don't know who created Pokémon Go," Hillary Clinton said on the campaign trail Thursday, "but I'm trying to figure out how we get them to have Pokémon go to the polls." You can watch her deliver that bit -- and grin at her own joke -- courtesy of CNBC:

Turns out Team Clinton has been thinking about Pokémon, because the events section of HillaryClinton.com currently lists a voter registration event at, yes, a PokéStop:

Sat, Jul 16, 2016, 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Gotta Catch Em' All

Madison Park Pokestop & PokeGYM
13029 Madison Ave Lakewood, Ohio 44107

Join us as we go to the Pokestop in Madison Park and put up a lure module, get free pokemon, & battle each other while you register voters and learn more about Sec. Hillary Clinton!!! Kids welcome!

Though the combination of Sec. Clinton's groaner of a soundbite and the presence of the event on her website is drawing attention to her Pokéstrategy, Ohio-based Hillary Clinton supporters have already been namechecking Pokémon in attempt to lure volunteers:

As for Donald Trump's position, well, see: "Donald Trump on 'Pokemon Go': 'I wish I had time.'"
