Now for Some Political Marketing That Literally Stinks

Carl Paladino Befouls Mailboxes With Stench of Albany

By Published on .

Fresh off of beating Rick Lazio in the Republican primary for New York's governor's race, Carl Paladino is itching to go after Andrew Cuomo and the Democrats. To that end, the campaign has sent out a mailer that smells like a landfill, claiming that "Something stinks in Albany." According to the AP, a campaign spokesman "says the smell will get worse the longer it is exposed, just like Albany."

The New York Daily News dubbed Paladino "subtle as a pit bull" and quoted him as saying of his political opponents in this race, "There will be blood on the floor ... It won't be pretty, it won't be clean, but I will take them down."

This should be a fun one. (Via The Awl.)
