Pro-Trump PAC's Spanish-Language Attack Ad Calls Hillary Clinton a Dog With Fleas

By Published on .

As has been widely reported by pollsters, Donald Trump isn't exactly popular among Hispanic voters. And so apparently someone at the pro-Trump Great America PAC decided that the way to win over Hispanic voters would be to make a Clinton-bashing attack ad in Spanish. Ad Age's editorial partner Kantar Media, supplier of the raw campaign spending data for our weekly Campaign Ad Scorecard posts, spotted this local ad buy on Spanish-language TV in Las Vegas:

You don't have to speak Spanish to get the gist (corrupción! despotismo!). And if that clip of Hillary Clinton barking seems familiar, travel back in time with us to our March 17 post titled "Trump Anti-Hillary Instagram Ad Stars ... Barking-Dog Hillary." Here the clip gets its own slogan (a common Spanish proverb) via voice-over and on-screen type: "Si quieres el perro ... accepta las pulgas." (Typo alert: that should be "acepta," not "accepta.") If you want the dog ... accept the fleas.
