Supreme Court Rejects Campaign Finance Limits

With Corporations Back in, Expect Ad Spending to Increase

The U.S. Supreme Court on a 5 to 4 decision dealt a major blow to campaign finance limits today, potentially opening the flood gates for additional political ad spending by corporations, unions and special interest groups.

That likely means this year's ad spending will be well above the $2.8 billion expected. The decision is a broad one and comes in at 183 pages.
