A new ad from Hillary Clinton's campaign opens with a simple message superimposed over an American flag: "We are America."

The ad then lingers on still photos of all kinds of Americans as we hear a mournful musical soundtrack and familiar, notorious soundbites from Donald Trump, including "I look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers" (cue a portrait of a woman), "He's a war hero because he wasn't captured. I like people who weren't captured, OK?" (cue a portrait of a veteran), "I would bomb the s*** out of 'em" and "I love war in a certain way" (cue a series of portraits of innocent-looking children).

The ad closes with a clip of an American flag waving in the wind. Superimposed over it are four words: "We are not him."
