Vodafone Lets You Charge Your Phone At Festivals While You Sleep

Published on .

Charging your phone at a Festival can be a pain, especially when you're so clearly using it all the time to communicate with friends, record music and so forth. So Vodafone has come up with a novel idea - a pocket that charges your phone while you sleep.

The Power Pocket is built into a pair of shorts called Power shorts and a sleeping bag, the Recharge sleeping bag, which the mobile brand developed with the Electronics and Computer Science Department at the University of Southampton. It consists of thermoelectric material which charges up due to the body heat generated inside the sleeping bag.

Vodafone will be trialling the products throughout the UK festival season. We just hope they're mud-proof, too.
