110 Stories: Augmented Reality Twin Towers App

Published on .

Bring back the Twin Towers to New York's iconic skyline withthe 100 Stories augmented reality app currently raising funds on Kickstarter. The app allows you to orient your iPhone camera toward the skyline. Augmented reality then does the rest, adding the outline of the Twin Towers, from whatever your vantage point. You can then take a picture, add your own story and upload it to 110stories.com (which hasn't launched yet).

The website shows your pictures on a map of New York City, with pins symbolizing each photo.

The project is on Kickstarter and needs $25,000 in funding if its going to be launched. As of writing, it had almost $23,000. Brian August, the creator, expects the app to be free.
