Today, we check in with two NYC-area luminaries and CaT presenters, Area/Code's Kevin Slavin and Big Spaceship's Michael Lebowitz in our video interview series Cat Conversations. Slavin talks games, true to Area/Code's specialty, and explains how the future of games is looking more like the past, as well as how Area/Code is able to wrangle a whole lotta disparate data into neat little playable packages.
Lebowitz, meanwhile, sounds off on the perceived dichotomy between the nimble, light structure of many digital companies and the hulking juggernauts they produce work for.
We're also very pleased to show off the CaT Opener, created by the notoriously skillful SF mavens at Mekanism. The piece marries old- and new-school technologies to build an amazing little techno-village; read more about the creation process in Behind the Work.
