Yesterday at the Research in Motion Blackberry developers conference, the company announced the launch of its own tablet, the PlayBook, set to launch in early 2011. The new tablet features a 7" hi-res display, measures at less than half an inch thick and weighs under a pound. It also features dual HD cameras, a 3MP front facing one and 5MP rear, and supports 1080p HD recording. Perhaps even more important, it's Flash-friendly and handles Adobe AIR apps.
RIM has not yet disclosed pricing on the tablet. See more of the PlayBook specs on the Blackberry site.
