Border Action Network: Profile the Governor

Published on .

Y&R N.Y. and the Border Action Network, an Arizona-based immigrant rights group fighting the SB 1070 law with the ACLU, are turning the tables on Arizona Governor Jan Brewer with the Profile the Governor site. Brewer had signed the controversial SB 1070 bill into law, requiring law enforcement to determine the immigration status of anyone it suspects of being an illegal immigrant. The new site applies that same thinking to the governor herself—if any "Latino-looking" individual can be an illegal immigrant, then anyone who looks like Brewer—blond, Caucasian—can be governor. Vistors to the site can profile themselves as the governor and link to their social networking page.
