Amazon announced a new format available to e-readers, the Kindle Single. The new, shorter book-lets offer readers, and authors, an option that falls between a long article and book. Single weigh in between 10,000 and 30,000 words (a typical book, if there is such a thing, is about 60,000).



Will.i.am.expanding.my.creative.footprint

Earlier this week, the Black Eyed Peas frontman announced the formation of a new entertainment apps company, will.i.apps, and its inaugural product, a 360-degree video enabled BEP app. Then, Intel surprised the industry by announcing that it had signed a multi-year deal for the multi-faceted i.am to act as its new director of creative innovation. At a press conference, i.am said: "Nearly everything I do involves processors and computers, and when I see an Intel chip I think of all the creative minds involved that help to amplify my own creativity." Will.i.am follows in the footsteps of Lady Gaga, whose creative collaboration with Panasonic recently produced these sort of interesting sunglasses.
