Amateur athletes can raise money for charity by running, walking and biking with new fitness app Charity Miles. Users choose from one of ten charities (including Autism Speaks, Feeding America and The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research) and their selected charity then earns money for every mile covered. Walkers and runners earn 25 cents per mile while bikers earn 10 cents per mile, all up to an initial $1,000,000 target set by the company. Charity Miles, which was designed and developed by Bohemian Innovation and is free for iPhone and Android, is also aiming to increase the sponsorship pool by attracting corporate sponsorship.
