Some of you may remember that heart-pounding feeling of standing in line forever at the record store to get your album signed by your favorite band (Duran Duran, U2?). Google brings that excitement to the digital age with a new effort for Ellie Goulding, in which the singer's fans will be able to get her signature, live, on a digital cover of her new album Halcyon in a Google Hangout.
The campaign created out of Google Creative Lab London invites fans to the live event on October 8. They'll need to RSVP, add Goulding to their circles and fill out a form. Those picked--and who have the hangout plugin installed-- will get access past the digital velvet rope and to Goulding, who, using a Wacom tablet and pen, will leave her imprint and a personal message on their Halcyon art.
