The FA Cup: The Wembley 360

Published on .

The UK's Football Assocation (FA) has uploaded what it claims is the largest panoramic photograph ever taken at a sporting event onto its Wembley Stadium website.

Taken at Saturday 14 May's FA Cup soccer final by photographer Jeffrey Martin from 360Cities.net, with additional help from agencies Dare and M&C Saatchi, the image aims to capture the 90,000 capacity crowd at Wembley on one 360 degree photo. On the website, fans can find and tag themselves on the picture via Facebook.

The project escalates the trend for mass tagging in photos; last year, Poke London created a similar project for Orange at the Glastonbury Festival, hoping to achieve the most tagged photo ever.
