Facebook Gets Pinterest-y With 'Collections'

Published on .

Facebook has introduced a new feature, Collections, in which businesses can add "Want" or "Collect""buttons to news feed posts about products. In a move that is bound to draw comparisons with Pinterest, users can then save and share products to a "Wishlist" and can even click through to buy the products offsite.

Retailers testing the product include Pottery Barn, Michael Kors and Victoria's Secret.

A spokesperson for Facebook in a statement described Collections as "a small test in which a few select businesses will be able to share information about their products," adding that "people will be able to engage with these collections and share things they are interested in with their friends."
