The Guardian: Could You Be a Medallist?

Published on .

Among all the Olympic-inspired creations launching this week, here's a little gem from The Guardian. Guardian Interactive designers Jamie Lenman and Sean Ingle created this cute, 8 bit retro-style interactive game for the newspaper's website. Create your own avatar, type in your personal best for a sport (choose from a 100m sprint, bike road race, 10k run and freestyle swimming ), then see yourself compete against famed athletes.....and hopelessly fail. You can share the results on Facebook. Read about how the game was created here.

The 8-bit style is reminiscent of this Puma game that landed on the brand's homepage last week.
