Marmite is sponsoring this year's Christmas lights on London's Oxford Street, with an interactive installation that allows people to participate by submitting their "love it or hate it" expressions for a moment of fame. Their photos will be displayed on a specially designed digital banner hanging just by famous department store Selfridge's.
DDB London and Grand Visual worked together on the campaign, which will allow people to participate in two ways. They can either upload a photo on Marmite's Facebook page, after which they will be sent an email with the designated time frame for when their image will appear. Those who can't make it there in person can still see their 'face in lights' via a live webcam and an online gallery. People on Oxford Street itself can also get involved through an interactive bus shelter located near Bond Street tube station which launches on 26th November. Each photo feed is delivered via OpenLoop, Grand Visual's campaign management dashboard.
