MoMa: Hi, A Real Human Interface

Published on .

Inside your computer, there is a flesh-and-blood human being. That's what this installation from Multitouch Barcelona at the Museum of Modern Art brings to life. In it, Hi, a real-life human being, sits inside a screened box, doing everything a computer does. He sorts emails, sends replies, updates software and sometimes just gets bored. While taking on the life of a computer, he also finds time to brush his teeth and change his clothes. The installation is blurring the lines between reality and technology because occasionally, our computers become almost human in the way we interact with them.
