Nokia's 'Open Song' Project Puts Video Creation in Your Hands

Published on .

Nokia is experimenting with the music video format on a new site, Open Song Project, which lets consumers make their own versions of the song and video. Together with agency Naked Communications in Copenhagen, it worked with Danish Electro Rock Orchestra, Spleen United, to create individual versions of the band's new track "Hibernation". The site does not show the finalized track as the band envisaged it, but instead features 16 video clips of the sounds it consists of, all shot on the Nokia Lumia 920 prototype and its Pureview camera. Visitors can mix and match to make their own versions of song and video and Nokia will decide on a winning video by December 1st.
