Pedigree: Doggelganger

Published on .

It's always said that dogs look like their owners, but what about a quicker way of finding your perfectly matched pet? The Pedigree Adoption Drive in New Zealand developed Doggelganger using what it calls 'human to canine pairing software', to match potential dog owners to real homeless dogs looking for adoption. Users upload a photo of their own face, and Doggelganger will run a search to the find the dog that suits them best. They can share their 'doggelganger' via social media too.

The idea's similar to the Shelter Pet Project's Adopt Your Doggie Double, done as a pro bono project by DDB New York.
