Qualcomm Creates a Frozen Moment Photobooth out of 130 HTC Smartphones

Published on .

To promote Qualcomm's Snapdragon Processors, L.A. based agency Denizen created this Snapdragon "Photobooth" that uses 130 HTC One smartphones to capture its subject frozen moment-style, in 540 degrees. Subjects stand in the center of the custom-made spiral structure, and the smartphone cameras shoot in rapid succession to capture all the action in a frozen moment snapshot, which is then edited into a GIF file. It's a similar idea to Citi's Snowglobe, which appeared last year in Manhattan's Bryant Park, but with more devices, and this time it's Android technology, not Apple, pushing the boundaries.

Shown here in Venice, CA, the Snapdragon booth is currently touring the country and consumers can vote online for one to be installed in their city.
