Rajeev Basu: EEP EEP EEP EP

Published on .

Rajeev Basu, a creative at Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder, is behind an interactive art project that takes the sounds of many kinds of alarm and makes music. Basu received alarm-based music submissions from artists all over the world to create the EEP EEP EEP EP, which is now on show at German gallery Fach & Asendorf. (and can be listened to on its website).

Basu, who worked at Fallon, London, and Saint, London prior to CP+B, says: "We attempted to make sweet music using house alarms, police sirens, car alarms, traffic signal beeps and more... all the annoying sounds that are (unfortunately) part of our daily soundscape."
