Ticketmaster enables you to check where your Facebook friends -- and frenemies -- are sitting before you book your seat at an event with its just-launched interactive seat maps. The event ticketing company has created a platform that enables buyers to log in on Facebook while buying their tickets. Then, all their friends attending the same event are shown in a list. And if they have checked in to a seat, you can stalk, er, find out where they're sitting and buy seats close to them. Or far away, if you're the loner type.
About 9,000 events are already live on the platform. The company is also hoping that the "social" nature of ticket buying will see a comeback. When you see your friends are attending the next Britney concert, you may be tempted to buy. Or de-friend them forever.
