Vitamilk Recharges Your Phone Using Dead Batteries

Published on .

Thai soy milk brand Vitamilk collected thousands of discarded batteries and built a phone recharging station to use their residual energy, in a stunt designed to promote its "recharging" properties. According to the company, most discarded batteries still contain around four milliamps of unused energy; so put together, 1500 used batteries could power 140 smartphones. In an installation co-ordinated by BBDO and Proximity Thailand, Vitamilk collected donated batteries and put them together to create its recharging station, which was placed in a shopping mall for two months.
