Whaiwhai: The Pegleg

Published on .

Italian publisher Whaiwhai tells the secrets of New York in an interactive guidebook and app. The guidebook, which also has a game element, is narrated by tour guide/philosopher Timothy Speed Levitch. The book tells the story of a prosthesis with special powers. By following the central storyline, you explore the city in a new way.

You can choose the length of your adventure in the Big Apple, and play the interactive games mostly through text messaging.

The app, available for the iPhone, offers a more "social" experience. It costs just under 6 euros and lets you play along as you explore the city. In the future, the publisher plans to add ways to exchange messages among friends.
