An interactive game is the focus of PNC Bank's annual Christmas Price Index, in which it calculates the cost of the gifts in the 12 Days of Christmas carol, this year. Created by agency Deutsch N.Y., the game involves the idea is that the gifts have gone missing and consumers must help track them down using Google StreetView.
At the website, (where it's revealed that the price tag for the PNC CPI is $25,431.18 in 2012, $1,168 more than last year), people click on a world map and choose from one of 12 locations, including Paris and New York. The location then appears in Google Streetview and players can take part in an animated game in which they "catch" characters and objects from the 12 days carol. With each win, however, they're treated to a statistic showing that turtle doves, french hens or drummers drumming aren't getting any cheaper.
