Gartner Signs Terry Rietta; VFX House 'The Mission' Expands and More

Bicoastal production company Gartner has signed Terry Rietta, a character-oriented director who has done commercials for Starbucks, Verizon, Subway and Walmart, among others. He has also worked on branded content projects for Ritz Carlton and Amazon Theater. He is former GSD&M Art Director, and has also worked at Ammirati and Puris, Goldberg Moser O'Neill and Hill Holliday.
Venice-based VFX house The Mission has expanded its roster, adding Rick Grandy as CG Supervisor and Raul Dominguez as a creative modeler. Grandy comes to the shop from Pixomodo, where he worked on projects like "The Amazing Spiderman" and "Die Hard 5." Dominguez was most recently at Digital Domain, where he worked on "Iron Man 3" and "The Avengers." The Mission also doubled its space and now stands at 6,000 square feet.
B-Reel has added commercial director Josh Miller to its roster. Miller joins from RSA Films/Little Minx, where he spent 8 eight years as a commercial and music video director. A SoCal native, Miller started his career as a copywriter at Kirshenbaum & Bond in New York. From there, he moved to Cliff Freeman & Partners and Team One Advertising.
