Finnish agency Hasan & Partners, which recently acquired Perfect Fools, has opened its first international outpost in Stockholm. It will be headed by four founding partners -- Camilla Hahn Fortkord, managing director; and creative directors Peter Laurelli, Jakob Swedenborg and Daniel Wall. Hahn Fortkord, joins from McCann Stockholm, where she was account director on Coca Cola MER, Cederroths and C More for two years. Wall joins from McCann's Surprise Department, the agency's international "creative SWAT team." During his career he has also worked at Farfar, Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam and Syrup. Swedenborg also joins from McCann's Surprise Department. He spent almost a decade at Farfar and has previous experience from Lowe Brindfors, Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam and Syrup. Laurelli joins from GolinHarris. Prior to this he ran his own advertising agency Blond Swedish Amateurs, and has worked internationally at 180 Amsterdam, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
The One Club has named José Mollá, Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director of La Comunidad, as its new Chairman of the Board. Molla replaces Kevin Roddy, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Riney San Francisco, who served as Chairman of The One Club Board of Directors since 2009. Mollá founded Miami-based La Comunidad in 2000 with his brother Joaquín and they have since expanded to Buenos Aires. Earlier this year, La Comunidad became part of SapientNitro. Before opening La Comunidad, Mollá was creative director at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon for five years. He also served as creative irector of Argentinean agency Ratto/BBDO. He has served as a member of The One Club Board of Directors for the past 10 years.
SapientNitro has hired KV Sridhar as its first ever chief creative officer for India. Sridhar (or "Pops" as he is known) comes to SapientNitro with a creative career spanning over three decades in Indian advertising, and most recently after serving for 17 years as chief creative officer of Leo Burnett - India & Subcontinent. Having begun his career as a Bollywood film billboard painter. He is now a regular on Indian and International award juries, and has won 12 Cannes Lions in the last three years. Based out of Mumbai in his new role, Sridhar will be a member of the global executive creative team and will work alongside Sapient India Managing Director Rajdeep Endow.
CP&B has hired Jay Gelardi as digital executive creative director based in Boulder. Prior to joining CP&B, Gelardi was digital creative director at Sydney-based agency The Monkeys. His recent work includes a project for Intel and Boost Mobile that was honored five times at the 2014 Webby Awards, while in 2013, his work for the Australian flavored milk brand OAK picked up a Facebook Studio Award and his work for Diageo Australia received a D&AD Yellow Pencil. Before The Monkeys, he spent eight years at Agency Republic, London.
BBH New York has hired Carey Head as head of integrated production and technology. He will be tasked with continuing to grow the department's digital scope and capabilities, replacing Justin Booth-Clibborn who is transitioning into a new role. Head joins BBH with over 14 years in advertising and marketing. He was most recently Head of Integrated Production at Barton F. Graf 9000; prior to that, he served as director of digital production at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. He has worked with clients including Chevrolet, Doritos, GE, Adobe, and HP, winning recognition from Cannes Lions, AICP, Clios, New York Festivals, One Show, and others.
Leo Burnett Singapore has appointed Clarence Chiew as ECD and promoted Tim Green to chief creative officer of Singapore and global creative director on SKII. Prior to Leo Burnett, Chiew was the creative director of iris Singapore, where he worked with clients including Heineken, Tiger Beer, Johnnie Walker, ANZ, SingTel, Adidas, Audi, Shell and the Health Promotion Board. Prior to that he worked at JWT Singapore as an associate creative director.
Cheil Opentide, the Cheil Worldwide Group digital agency, has hired Peter Shen as its new chief creative officer. Shen has led Isobar China as its chief creative officer since 2004 creating work for Coca-Cola, Anheuser-Busch InBev, Moet Hennessy, Nissan, Philips and Procter & Gamble. He will be based in Cheil OpenTide's Beijing HQ reporting to CEO Dr. Brian Yongsik Nam. Cheil OpenTide currently operates in six cities -- Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Seoul.
