Hungry Man has signed director Daniel Warwick to its roster for commercial representation in the US, UK and Brazilian markets with the exception of Germany, where he is represented by Big Fish. Warwick recently directed the Mercedes-Benz spot Magic Body Control out of Jung von Matt featuring a chicken. He won two Gold Film Lions in Cannes this year for his SMART car commercial out of BBDO Germany. His previous awards include two bronze lions, three art directors club golds, and a VMA.
Pulse has added three new directors to its roster. French director Jean Pierre Philippot (left) has directed commercials for clients such as L'Oreal, Marks & Spencer, Kenzo, Suzuki and Cartier.
Finally, David M Helman, from California, is a music video and short film director who has produced work for musicians Blu & Flying Lotus, Joey Bada$$ and most recently PMR Records signed producer T.Williams.
RadicalMedia has added Stephen Pearson to its roster. The director has worked for brands including Burger King, Microsoft, H&R Block, Miller High Life, Travel Channel, Domino's, Southwest Airlines, McDonald's, Lowe's, Coors Light, Molson and Tetley, among others. His directorial work for Saatchi & Saatchi NY, Return to the Doghouse, picked up a number of awards including a Lion at Cannes.
MTh (Motion Theory) has signed director Arni Thor Jonsson. Specializing in commercials, music videos and short films, Jonsson has directed ads for brands including Smirnoff, Sony, Walmart, Audi, McDonald's, T-Mobile, IKEA, Heineken and Vodafone. Recent work includes Explorers, a spot for Jeep through Doner.
Former Gorgeous director Peter Thwaites and producer Anna Hashmi have teamed up to launch L.A.-based production company, 'The Corner Shop'. The pair started working together in 2008, and in 2009 Thwaites was awarded at the DGA for his work. Since then they have worked on many productions during their partnership at Gorgeous before leaving this summer. The company will be represented by Resource on the west coast, Mary-Kate Hatfield in the mid west and Ziegler/Jakubowicz on the east coast. In the UK they are partnering with Outsider, Les Telecreateurs in France and Czar in Germany.
New York based design and live action production company Transistor Studios has appointed Aaron Baumle as executive creative director and partner. Baumle has been with the company for 11 years and has directed commercials and interactive projects for clients such as HP, Hyundai, Sonos, Morgan Stanley and Samsung.
Transistor has also appointed Jamie Rockaway as creative director. An eight-year veteran of the studio, Rockaway has overseen projects for Bacardi, New Era, NBC Sports, Coke and Bank of America.
New York digital studio, Click 3X, is partnering San Francisco-based visual effects company Whiskytree. Whiskytree has operated almost exclusively in feature film VFX, and is owned and operated by Jonathan Harb, a producer and supervisor who has contributed to more than 45 feature films including The Hunger Games, Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
