Amidst a bit of high-level creative shuffling at McCann Erickson New York, Linus Karlsson (left) and Andreas Dahlqvist have taken on expanded, global creative leadership roles.
Karlsson, who was previously chairman and chief creative officer for New York and London, will now be chairman of the entire global creative leadership collective at the agency, as well as chief creative officer of global brands. He was hired at McCann from Mother New York in November 2010.
Dahlqvist, who was ECD and vice-chairman in New York, was named deputy chief creative officer of global brands.
Much of the duo's responsibilities will be taken over by Sean Bryan (right in the picture) and Tom Murphy, who are now co-chief creative officers at the New York shop. They were previously co-ECDs, focusing on the Verizon business, particularly FiOS. They will also now oversee the New York office's key clients, and will report to Hank Summy, president of North America, as well as Karlsson and Dahlqvist.
"This promotion will allow Andreas and me to focus globally and Sean and Tom to focus on New York," Karlsson said in a statement.
The global creative leadership collective, which was previously helmed by Prasoon Joshi, president of McCann Worldgroup South Asia, as well as chairman and CCO for McCann Worldgroup India, is a nine-member group that brings together creative leadership across McCann offices.
