Spot Welders is to represent UK editorial shop Speade in the US. Sam Sneade (left), who founded Speade in 2002, has worked with directors such as Jonathan Glazer, Martin Granger, Traktor, Johnny Green and Frank Budgen on spots for brands such as Guinness, Stella Artois and Levi's, as well as several feature films, including Jonathan Glazer's Sexy Beast. Spot Welders has also added James Rosen (right) to its roster. Rosen joins fromt Final Cut, and has cut work for Virgin Media, British Airways, Audi, E4 and McDonald's.
Click 3X has added Comedy Central's Inside Amy Schumer co-creator and executive producer Daniel Powell to its live action roster. Powell also produced the show Ugly Americans which ran on Comedy Central from 2010-2012. He is currently shooting spots for Accenture for TBWA/Chiat/Day and Wellpoint with Rokkan.
Director Alberto Belli has signed with Accomplice Media for commercial representation. The signing is the first commercial affiliation for Belli, whose work includes viral video "For Your Consideration", a spoof of Les Miserables that drew more than one million views on YouTube. He also won two Emmy Awards for short comedies he directed while a student at USC.
Former Untitled Films executives Chilo Fletcher (left) and Estelle Weir (right) have launched production company Someplace Nice in Toronto. Weir's resume includes spells at Radke Films and OPC as well as Untitled, while Fletcher started her career at Brown Entertainment. Directors on the roster include Drew Lightfoot, Jim Hosking and Jamie Travis. Someplace Nice is also an affliate of New York-based m ss ng p eces.
Canadian director Craig Brownrigg has joined Hungry Man for commercial representation. Brownrigg's work for brands such as KFC, Burger King andMSG Varsity has won awards including One Show Pencils and Cannes Lions. He will continue to be represented by Radke in Canada.
The Cavalry Productions has signed Woodhead for both commercial and digital production work. Woodhead consists of director/writer Tony Yacenda, writer/comedian/actor Dan Perrault and comedian/actor/producer Sean Carrigan. The trio are best known for a comedic video short titled, "Favre: Rise" which parodied a Nike ad and thus far has garnered over four million views on YouTube.
New York animation studio Clockwork VFX has added agency producer Nina Davenport to its team. Davenport joins from her role as a producer at UPROAR!, the New York-based kid /family centered marketing agency. She worked at Griffin Bacal, New York and Grey New York before joining D'Arcy, New York, as an executive producer, moving to UPROAR in 2007.
