Martins joins 72andSunny Amsterdam, Graf To Chair AICP Next And More

72andSunny Amsterdam has appointed Paulo Martins as executive creative director, working alongside the agency's longtime ECD Carlo Cavallone. Formerly an independent freelancer, Martins has collaborated with 72andSunny Amsterdam on work including the agency's "Unhate" campaign for Benetton, which won the Cannes Lions Press Grand Prix in 2012. Martins has 15 years of experience at agencies including 180, BSUR and Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam, where he first met Cavallone, and has created work for the likes of Nike, Adidas, Mini BMW and Coca-Cola.

Gerry Graf, founder and chief creative officer of Barton F. Graf 9000, will serve as the 2014 AICP Next Awards Judging Chair, and Master of Ceremonies at the AICP Next Awards presentation. The AICP Next Awards will be held at the NYU Kimmel Center on Tuesday, June 10th. AICP Week runs June 10-12 and the Call for Entries for the AICP Next Awards and the AICP Show are now open.

Mother New York has promoted design director Mark Aver to creative director. Aver joined Mother in 2008 and has led branding projects for Microsoft, Dell, New Balance, kate spade new york, Revel Resorts and CB2. In 2012, he also helped launch Motherʼ s own spirits brand, White Pike Whiskey. His work has been recognized by The One Show, D&AD, and others. Aver began his career in Boston at the design/research firm Catapult Thinking, eventually moving to New York to work at Number Seventeen and Ogilvyʼ s Brand Integration Group (BIG).

Rapp New York has appointed Rik Haslam as SVP, executive creative director. Haslam will join the New York office from RAPP UK, where he was most recently chief creative officer. He will report to Robert Grammatica, managing director of RAPP New York. Prior to joining RAPP, Haslam worked at agencies in the UK including OgilvyOne, where he produced digital, direct and above-the-line work for brands such as IBM and American Express.

Rattakorn Potharam is taking on the dual role of general manager and executive creative director of MRM, McCann Worldgroup's digital marketing and relationship management agency. Rattakorn returns to Thailand from Oakland, California where he was design director for Dictionary.com. Prior to that, Rattakorn was managing director at agencies in Thailand, including founding and leading Reflexible, his own design agency in Bangkok, from 2002 to 2005.
