Movers: People news from Blackjack Films, QuietMan, Tribal DDB, The Mill

Bradley Woodus, formerly head of broadcast at VCCP, has launched his own production company, Blackjack Films. Woodus has signed a roster of directors including China Moo-Young, who worked on the UK's Channel 4 drama Misfits; Atanasio & Martinez, who have worked for brands such as Levi's, Audi, Nintendo and Nike; and Yoav Segal, who has just completed a film for VCCP in Argentina. Prior to VCCP, Woodus was deputy MD at Bikini Films and has also worked at BBH.




QuietMan has appointed Bob Nelson as executive producer. Nelson, who will work alongside Partner/EP Carey Gattyan, has more than 25 years experience as a director of broadcast production for agencies including DDB NY, Lowe, and TBWA. In 2009 he became president and partner at Eyeball, and in 2010 he was elected to the board of directors of the AICP Digital Chapter. He has earned six Cannes Lions, multiple ANDY and Clio Awards, honors at the AICP Show, and inclusion in the Museum of Modern Art's film archive.



Tribal DDB New York has made several new hires. Adam Pacio joins as senior project manager, having previously worked at BBDO, Dotglu, and Acsys Interactive. Mihai Botarel is appointed as a senior copywriter. His prior experience includes DDB Germany, Leo Burnett Bucharest, GMP Bucharest, and O&M Buchaest. Clarence McGann comes on board as a senior art director. He has previously worked with Coach, Macy's, JWT, Atmosphere BBDO, Euro RSCG, and Deep Focus in addition to freelance assignments.


The Mill LA has hired eight new CG artists, tripling its staff in size since the start of 2010. Josh Hatton, formerly with Hydralux, Sam Kao, previously with ILM and Weta, and Nick Line, from Animal Logic, join as senior artists, as do Gawaine Liddiard, who joins from Double Negative, and Felix Urquiza, with experience in both features (Hydralaux) and commercials (Method). New hires as CG artists are Andre De Souza, whose experience includes projects at Weta, Animal Logic and MPC, while Michael Panov and Yorie Kumalasari move from The Mill NY.
