MOVERS: People news from Blue Rock, Mighty Film, McKinney, Mass Market

Jennifer Lederman has joined Blue Rock as vice president, managing director of its New York office, replacing Cara Cutrone, who recently left to join Spontaneous. She will lead the creative editorial roster and manage the production team as well as overseeing client/account relationships. Previous to joining BlueRock, Lederman was the national managing director at Red Car. She was also the driving force behind Redhead, Red Car's design and visual effects division.



Mighty Film, the company founded recently by Backyard's Blair Stribley, has added Alexander Paul to its roster. German-born Paul has directed commercials for the likes of Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes-Benz, Alfa Romeo, Porsche and Volkswagen, as well as current work for the Buick brand. He works exclusively with producer Susanne Porzelt.


McKinney has promoted Trevor O'Brien from interactive technology director to creative technology director. O'Brien has been with the Durham, NC-based agency since 2008 and recently created its new mckinney.com site, optimized for mobile touch screens. Additionally, Christin Prince and Scott McCall have been promoted to creative technologists. Prince has been working as interactive strategist on clients such as EAS and Qwest Communications while McCall was the interactive strategy lead for the rebuild of mckinney.com.



Mass Market, the visual effects, design and animation studio, has added 12 new staff to its team. They include creative directors Jens Mebes and Andreas Berner, who have directed new Jim Beam spot The Chase for Strawberry Frog. Mebes was previously with Imaginary Forces, Stardust, Eyeball and Motion Theory while Berner was formerly with Psyop, Imaginary Forces and Eyebeam. The other new hires include David Parker, formerly at The Mill, as VFX supervisor/creative director, and Chris Sage, formerly at Luma Pictures, who joins as head of 3D.
