101 London has hired Augusto Sola as partner and creative director. Sola has been working with the company on various projects since leaving Fallon earlier this year, including the recent launch of Avios. He will work alongside Richard Flinthamacross all of the agency's accounts. Sola worked at Fallon for two years as creative director for accounts including Cadbury, Sony and Orange. Before that, he worked at Mother London where he worked on the Eurostar, Stella Artois, Orange and Motorola accounts and on the Edinburgh International Film Festival-winning, Eurostar-funded film Somers Town. He has also lived and worked in Los Angelesand Argentina at agencies including Saatchi, La Comunidad and BBDO.

Deutsch New York has promoted seven of its creatives to the role of vice president. Associate creative director Judd Counsell, who works on clients including DIRECTV, Outback, and Aruba becomes VP, associate creative director. Creative directors Donovan Goodly and John Heath, who work in interactive creative development for Microsoft, both become VP, creative director. Associate creative director Rich Kolopeau, who joined from Y&R in February this year, becomes VP, associate creative director, as does Cindy Kridle, who works on clients including PNC and Exelon. Also elevated to VP are director of creative talent Katherine Moncrief, and creative director Chip Rich, who works on brands including MilkPEP, Snuggle and Country Crock.

Brickyard VFX co-owners Dave Waller and Geoff McAuliffe have teamdd with character animator Anders Beer to launch General Gau, a hybrid animation/production company dedicated to creating custom character-based content. Based out of Brickyard's Boston office, General Gau just wrapped its first project, a 30 second spot for Progressive Insurance.

Bemis Balkind has promoted Kishan Muthucumaru, one of its three executive creative directors, to head the agency's TV Group. Muthucumaru and his team, including Laura Mavros and newly hired Candi Fang, will provide creative services for TV clients in the disciplines of print and packaging. Muthucumaru joined Bemis Balkind in 2009 and was formerly a creative director with 30 Sixty Advertising.
