Akestam Holst has appointed Henrik Adenskog in the newly created position of patent director. According to the agency's CD Martin Cedergren, Adenskog's appointment comes as part of the agency's response to new and longtime clients' demands for a stricter focus on business as well as innovation outside the traditional advertising arena. In his new role, Adenskog will oversee patent applications, design protection, name protection and other legal exclusive rights. Cedergren says that Adenskog will be filing a number of applications for local and global patents throughout 2010.
Oscar-nominated cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto has signed to the roster of Little Minx for commercials representation. Prieto is best known for his work as DP on films like Brokeback Mountain, Babel and Frida. He has also DP's some of advertising's most notable spots like Ikea's Lamp and American Airlines' New York Minute.
