Stinkdigital has appointed Esther Downton as executive producer, based out of the shop's New York offices. She joins Stinkdigital following a two year stint as senior digital producer at AMV BBDO on projects such as the iOS audio game "The Nightjar" for Wrigleys (which received a BAFTA Games nomination) and Mercedes- Benz UK's "Escape the Map" campaign with an interactive video directed by Carl Erik Rinsch and produced by Unit 9 in London. Prior to AMV BBDO, she was freelancing at Collective London.
New York creative agency Loyalkaspar, led by David Herbruck and Beat Baudenbacher, has launched a Los Angeles office, hiring Richard Eng as the office's creative director and Mandy Novak as executive producer. Novak (left) joins Loyalkaspar following five years as an executive producer at the design company Fish Eggs in Venice, CA. Before Fish Eggs, she was post producer on the NBC show "Fear Factor" for nearly five years, and post producer for two years on "Deal or No Deal". Eng (below) comes to Loyalkaspar from Digital Kitchen where he served as executive creative director. His career includes senior creative roles at several leading design/animation studios as well as working as an art director at Nick at Nite, where he directed the network's rebrand and new logo.
MPC has added Gigi Ng as VFX supervisor/Flame artist, and John Skeffington as senior producer, both at its New York office. Ng, whose expertise includes VFX, compositing and supervision, has worked on campaigns for Emerson, Johnnie Walker, Gillette, Mercedes, AT&T, Jordan Brand, and Barclays. Her agency collaborations include BBDO, Merkley + Partners, The Directors Bureau, Wieden+Kennedy, and Venables Bell & Partners. Ng's lead Flame work for an OFFF campaign earned a Cannes Gold Lion in Design for Animation. Skeffington has worked on campaigns for Budweiser, Mentos, PUMA, Converse, Rolex, M&Ms. GE, and Givenchy, with agencies including Anomaly, JWT, Droga5, The Martin Agency, BBDO and BBH.
Following the promotion of Megan Meloth to EP, a52 has signed Andrew Bate as VFX Supervisor/Flame Artist. Bate's recent efforts include a Cannes Gold Lion-winning, Emmy-nominated Olympics spot for Procter & Gamble, a D&AD Annual-winning ad for Xbox, a Sports Emmy-winning promo for MLB, and Honda's Matthew Broderick's Day Off Super Bowl ad from earlier this year. In addition to work with adidas, Honda, Boost Mobile, JCPenney, Affinity, PowerAde, Old Spice and Best Buy, Bate has created videos for the likes of Maroon 5, and worked on short films, including Nash Edgerton's Captain and Amanda Boyle's Pop Art. He also worked on the Sundance Grand Jury-nominated feature film Hasher.
Grey Group is to acquire a majority stakeholding in ArtM Communications Group, a full-service integrated communications company in China. Founded in 1999 and with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzen and Guangzhou, ArtM's service offering includes advertising, branding, digital marketing, public relations, events, retail marketing, merchandising and channel promotion. The group's subsidiaries include ArtM PR Consulting, Mercury Advertising, Lightning Digital Marketing, Imaginist Retail Marketing and Noblehorse Website. Clients include Intel, Microsoft, TCL and China Mobile. The acquisition will see ArtM re-branded as "Grey ArtM Marketing Communications".
