People News from Leo Burnett Tokyo and Chicago, Draftfcb and More.

Leo Burnett Tokyo has promoted Masato Mitsudera to executive creative director. The multi-awarded creative has won accolades including a Cannes Promo/Activiation Grand Prix and Gold Lion for the Yubari Fusai Project, which sought to bring life back to the financially strapped city of Yubari. The 36-year-old Mitsudera started out his career as a planner in the creative department of a local shop and has been at Beacon/Leo Burnett for the past nine years, working on campaigns for clients like McDonald's, Meiji and Onitsuka Tiger.









Leo Burnett's Chicago office, meanwile, hired Andrew Meyer as EVP and Creative Director, in charge of the agency's North American Samsung business. He returns to Leo Burnett after spending the past four years at Cramer-Krasselt, working on Corona Extra. He coined the "Find Your Beach" tagline for the beer brand and also worked on Porsche and Hilton. He had previously spent seven years at Leo, working on Altoids, Cadillac, P&G, Kashi and Coca-Cola.







Brand activation agency The Marketing Store appointed Graham Wall as its new ECD. Wall was previously in the same role at Savvy Marketing Group, and also previously worked in creative at Billington Cartmell. He will report to Lisa Bonney, MD at The Marketing Store.







Draftfcb Chicago has a new SVP, group creative director of multicultural. Michel Rothschild comes from MTV, where has written and directed promos for five years. He has also worked at agencies including JWT and Dieste, on brands like Sol, Dos XXX, McDonald's and Verizon. At Draftfcb, he will report to chief creative Todd Tilford and be responsible for leading 12 creatives in Chicago and working to build the network's multicultural offerings.







Sound Lounge hired mixer Chris Afzal, who will be based out of the audio post-production house's new SoHo location in New York. Afzal joins from Charlex/Launch and will work with fellow mixer Seth Phillips on building out the shop's SoHo outlet, which is an extension of its 5th Avenue flagship.











Carr Schilling, formerly Integrated EP at Crispin, Porter & Bogusky, has joined Cut+Run as Executive Producer. At CP+B, Schilling had woked with Dave Rolfe to manage the shop's broadcast efforts. He has worked at Cut+Run in the past, spending three years there as a producer before joining CP+B. He has also worked at TBWA/Chiat/Day.









EnergyBBDO brought on Tim Pontarelli to serve as senior vice president and group creative director at the agency, focusing on the Frito-Lay business. Pontarelli comes from Leo Burnett, where he spent 20 years in a variety of positions, starting as a copywriter and working his way up to ECD.
