Dustin Lance Black has joined Bully Pictures for exclusive representation as a commercial and interactive content director. Black is a director, writer, producer and civil rights activist who won an Oscar, a Writers Guild of America Award and an Independent Spirit Award in 2009 for his screenplay for Milk. He has also earned award nominations for his work on the HBO series Big Love and his teleplay for Pedro. As a director, his credits include the recently released feature film Virginia, starring Jennifer Connelly and Ed Harris, the feature documentaries My Life with Count Dracula and On the Bus, and TV show Faking It. Black began his professional career as an art director in TV commercials; however, his arrangement with Bully Pictures is the first time he has made himself available to direct for advertising.
Digital production studio Rhythm + Hues Commercial Studios has added director Miles Goodall of Sweet Spot Content in South Africa for US based projects. Goodall's recent commercial clients include Koo, Central Bank of Africa, Vodacom, Alexander Forbes, Nedgroup and Airtel.
IKA Collective, the creative production/post studio led by director Ian Karr, has signed with Peleton Entertainment, New York, a television agency that specializes in the development of reality and documentary content. Peleton Entertainment is involved with shows such as A&E's "Hoarders" and " Dog the Bounty Hunter", History Channel's " Pawn Stars and MTV's " Pranked".
