Director Danny T (aka Dan Trachtenberg) has extended his relationship with Great Guns to the US, and is now represented by the production house worldwide. His short film Portal: No Escape, a homage to the video game Portal, received over 6.5 million YouTube hits in just over one week when it was released last month, and has attracted attention from mainstream as well as online media. He also directed a previous short film, More Than You Can Chew, and co-hosts video podcast, The Totally Rad Show.

Crossroads Films UK has added short film director Nick Scott to its roster. His short films include Breaker, School Portrait, which has been picked up for US & European distribution through Shorts International, and Big Society, which won best film at Anglo/Danish short film festival, Bornshorts this year and is nominated for the Grand Prix at the Brief Encounters festival. He also has three feature screenplays in development.

Cut+Run's Michelle Burke and Steve Gandolfi have launched a new Cut + Run Los Angeles office in Santa Monica. Cut + Run Los Angeles features editors Steve Gandolfi, Jay Nelson and Isaac Chen and also represents editors from Cut+Run New York, UK and Asia. It features features four edit suites, finishing & client service. Recent Los Angeles-based projects include Microsoft for CP+B, VW and PlayStation for Deutsch, Lexus for TeamOne and Travelers for Fallon.

Kelly Hommon has joined the directorial roster at Sheila Tighe and Josie Leonard's City Films. Through City Films, Hommon just completed filming on "A Legacy of Hope," a documentary about young children in Moscow who are undergoing cancer treatment. She previously directed "Mind of Mencia" and worked on several segments for "Real Time with Bill Maher," as well as stretched her comic muscles on episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm The Discussion," for TV Guide and segments for "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

Co Collective, the story-led innovation collective which has just celebrated its first anniversary, has hired four new team members. Darrell Whitelaw joins as technology experience lead, having previously worked as partner and creative director at MIR, a former mobile and emerging platforms research and development house, and at Deep Focus. Margaux Ravis joins as head of production, after freelancing as an executive producer for the past three years with agencies such as Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Big Spaceship, SapientNitro and StrawberryFrog. Previously, she held a similar post at Mother New York. Tom Hull and Katie Stricker also join as collaborators. Hull previously headed the account management team at Profero's New York office and Stricker previously worked at LBi's New York office.
