BBDO San Francisco has appointed Dan Hofstadter as associate creative director. He will partner with ACD Ricard Valero, who joined the agency last month, reporting to executive creative director Mike McKay. Hofstadter was previusly a copywriter at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, where he worked on accounts such as HP, Yahoo!, Foster Farms, Sprint and Comcast. At BBDO SF, he will work across a broad range of accounts, including Masterfoods (Cesar, Whiskas, Nutro & Uncle Ben's), Vail Resorts, Harrah's Casinos, Goodwill, Henkel, Comcast Sportsnet, Gallo and the San Francisco SPCA.
Deutsch New York has hired Jeff Vinick as senior vice president, group creative director, reporting directly to chief creative officer Greg DiNoto. Most recently, Vinick was group creative director at Grey New York, where he worked on the E*TRADE baby campaign and led creative on the NFL and TBS/TNT accounts. Prior to Grey, Vinick was with Deutsch NY, working on both PNC and new business. He launched his career at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer (now Euro RSCG) and spent nearly a decade at Merkely+Partners, where he helped to launch JetBlue.
New York-based post boutique Northern Lights has added editor/smoke artist Mark Tyler to its roster. Tyler comes to Northern Lights with over 20 years of editing experience, most recently at NY-based production company Red Line Films. His clients have included The NFL Network, L'Occitane, NHL, ESPN, MTV, The Travel Network and various other broadcast networks and record labels.
Digital advertising agency Domani Studios has hired Evan Stark as technology director. Prior to joining Domani, he worked as a senior technologist at frog design and technology director at BET. He has designed and developed technical solutions for clients from brands including Viacom, MTV, BET, Coach, Pfizer, CA, and GE.
