Dentsu America has appointed Brian McDermott to the position of chief creative officer. He was previously managing director/executive creative director at Dentsu-owned mcgarrybowen and has also worked at Clear Channel, BBDO, Y&R and McCann Erickson. He will report directly to chief operating officer John Partilla, taking responsibility for accounts including Toyota.

Paul Wang has joined Attik in the position of associate creative director, design. Wang was previously director of global brand design at Motorola and has also worked at design firms including Continuum, Elevation and Organic, creating campaigns for brands including Sprint, Chevron, Mitsubishi Motors and Target.

Google Creative Lab has hired Steve Vranakis, creative director of VCCP in London, as a creative director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Vranakis had worked at VCCP for eight years, joining from FCB San Francisco in 2002. Prior to that he had also worked DDB Vancouver, Modem Media and WCRS. Fellow VCCP creative head Darren Bailes takes on the new role of executive creative director, while senior creative Mark Orbine becomes creative director.

Bi-coastal production company Supply&Demand Integrated has added director Margo Weathers to its roster for representation. She has previously worked as associate creative director for Neiman Marcus stores, creating advertising for brands including Armani, Zegna and Chanel.
