Draftfcb West Coast has added three new creative hires. Matt Gilmore joins Draftfcb Seattle as an associate creative director in Seattle from Blast Radius and will work with the agency's HP client as a copywriter while also helping on the agency's new business pitches. Gilmore joins from Blast Radius, where he worked on digital projects for Starbucks that included a social media scavenger hunt featuring Lady Gaga and the Magic Cup App. He has also worked at DDB Seattle, The Richards Group in Dallas and Temerlin McClain. Associate creative directors Chris Hancock and Scott Drey join the team in San Francisco. Hancock joins as a copywriter after working at the agency as a freelancer for several months. Prior to joining the agency, he worked at Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners in Sausalito, Calif. Drey will work alongside Hancock on the agency's Dockers and EA accounts. He joins Draftfcb after working at Downtown Partners in Chicago as an associate creative director, art director.
Marketing agency Definition 6 has made two new hires in its New York office. Maribeth Phillips joins as executive producer and John Sexton as iCD, interactive creative director, in the NYC office. Phillips joins Definition 6 from production and design studio, Imaginary Forces, where she was managing director/executive producer, leading television commercial production, broadcast design, feature film titles, experience design and interactive work. Sexton spent the last year contracting for a number of agencies on clients such as Nissan, Duncan Hines, FedEx, Chase and Kodak. Prior to that, he worked as VP interactive creative director at Grey Healthcare Group and VP associate creative director at Saatchi and Saatchi Wellness.
