Shilo, the New York and California-based production company, has added director Luc 'Reso' Janin to its roster for commercial and music video representation in the US. Janin's work includes commercials for the BBC, Converse, Channel 4, Lotus, MTV, Nescafe, Nickelodeon, Nike, Pepsi, Samsung, Snickers, Toyota and Xbox, plus music videos for James Blunt, Stereophonics and others. His 'Green Tomato Cars' spot for Dentsu London and Toyota won Gold in the 41st Annual Creativity International Awards. He is represented by London-based production company Annex Films outside the US.
San Francisco-based digital agency Organic has appointed Chris Jones as executive creative director. Jones joins Organic from Razorfish London, where he was responsible for design, information architecture, motion graphics and content strategy as creative director. He also managed creative leadership for clients including Audi and O2. Prior to that he was experience director at Avenue A (now Razorfish). Organic has also hired Drew Meyers as SVP, client services director. Meyers joins Organic from Publicis Modem/ Riney San Francisco, where he was managing director, and previously worked as SVP, digital group account director at Publicis.
The Institute, Scott Gardenhour and Michael Bay's commercial production house, has hired Yunilda Esquivel (pictured, left) as executive producer and Laura Coones as head of business development. Esquivel has previously worked as a global strategy consultant for several technology and advertising companies and prior to that led international business development for a privately owned tech start-up. She began her career in media and film production in her native Costa Rica, working as a producer and a writer before moving to Bright Pictures in New York City. Coones previously worked as the director of sales, sponsorships and business integration for PromaxBDA and its MI6 Game Marketing Division.
Black Dog Films has added Cyrcle, a trio of artist and creators who work in LA's street art scene, to its roster. The group, who specialize in creating exhibitions, live art installations, pop-up shops and street murals, will act as creative directors for a new cross-collaboration with Black Dog Films US.
Adam Alshin joined StrawberryFrog New York as creative director. He previously worked at Google Labs and prior to that was at Wieden +Kennedy. Alshin has created campaigns for Virgin Mobile, Starbucks, Sprint/Nextel, ESPN, Fox Sports, Toyota, and Google.
Detroit-based Beast has hired Brian Mettler as executive producer. He joins Beast after 12 years as a producer and account executive in the Detroit market, working for clients including Leo Burnett, CE,Doner, Team Detroit, Global Hue,and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. Meanwhile, Beast sister companies Company 3 and Method Studios are to co-locate into a new space located one floor above Beast.
