Director Mikey Please has signed with Hornet for US, Canada and South American representation and Passion Pictures for representation in Europe. His short stop frame film The Eagleman Stag (2010) premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won the BAFTA award for Best Short Animation in 2011. He has also directed commercials and music videos using stop frame and cut out animation, and was recently awarded a three month fellowship by the Japanese Centre for Cultural Affairs in Tokyo to develop a new short film entitled Martyn Myller. He recently worked on a Nike stop motion spot due to launch in May promoting the Nike+ FuelBand.





Morgan Spurlock's New York based production company Warrior Poets has teamed with Keith Calder's Los Angeles based Snoot Entertainment and Los Angeles and New York based producer Shannon Lords to create commercial production company Warpaint. The company will represent both established and emerging directors from a variety of production backgrounds, and will maintain offices in New York, Los Angeles and London. Warpaint completed its first project in January 2012 with Darren Aronofsky, who directed the upcoming campaign for Revlon featuring Emma Stone and Halle Barry. The company's initial roster consists of nine directors: Spurlock; Rupert Wyatt; Gary Hustwit; Adam Wingard; Liz Garbus; Adam Lisegar; Michael Tucker; Maggie Choo and Damien Toogood.





Superlounge has signed director Daniel Sheppard to its roster. At the same time, the company announced that it has decided to go 'all-comedy' according to founders Jordan Brady and Dave Farrell. Sheppard's first Superlounge project is directing a Missouri Lottery spot for ad agency Barkley of Kansas City, MO. Previous work includes spots for BetterOats oatmeal and Jolly Ranchers.
